Bikini Me is a weight management kit intended for women. It comes in two pack sizes. This review will highlight the pros and cons.
Bikini Me is a seasonal product, marketed by GP Nutrition.
Although it sounds like a company that may have been founded by a doctor, the “GP” in GP Nutrition is actually taken from the initials of the company’s founder, Czech fashion model, Gabriela Peacock.
As the names suggest, the 3-Day Bikini Countdown Kit is intended to provide a 3-day treatment and the 7-Day Bikini Countdown Kit lasts for a week.
Although a model would normally have less credibility than a doctor when it comes to developing weight management supplements, Peacock is also a qualified nutritionist, so her credentials are pretty good.
However, Bikini Me is quite an expensive product to use and, although it’s not without merit, it wouldn’t be able to hold its own if it had to go head-to-head with any of the top fat burners for women.
Claims: To aid appetite suppression, create a faster metabolism and burn fat.
Positives: A nice looking brand by a reputable company. Some good ingredients.
Negatives: It can work out quite expensive and there are there product on the market that offer more for less!
What are the Benefits
- Hunger suppression
- Faster metabolism
- Flatter tummy
- Feel cleaner and leaner
- Become more body confident
- Watch your body glow
What is Included in the Bikini Countdown Kit
Each Bikini Countdown Kit contains four kinds of sachet.
Each sachet contains an individual dose of Slim Me Diet Capsules, Slim Me Gel, Clean Me Capsules, or Clean Me Drink mix.
The clean me products are only used on the last day of the treatment (Day 3 or Day 7). Slim Me and Clean Me are also available year-round, as standalone kits.
Slim Me focuses mainly on weight loss and Clean Me is a product intended to detox the body, improve digestion, enhance liver function, improve the immune system, and offer protection against free radicals.
As a bonus, it’s also designed to provide healthier skin.
How to Use Bikini Me
The Slim Me Capsules and Gel appear to be the most important part of the kit.
The Clean Me Capsules and Drink Mix are only used on the final day of the treatment.
That will be day three or day seven, depending on which option is chosen.
Both sets of capsules come in one-dose sachets and, in each case, the sachet contains three capsules.
The Slim Me Gel and Clean Me drink mix also come in one-dose sachets and the contents need to be mixed with water and consumed as a drink.
Dosing Schedule (3-Day Bikini Countdown Kit)
- Days 1 + 2: Three Slim Me capsules, taken with water, first thing in the morning. One Slim Me gel sachet, mixed with water and consumed 20 minutes before meals, three times per day.
- Day 3: Three Clean Me capsules, taken with water, first thing in the morning. One Clean Me drink mix, mixed with water, consumed during the evening.
Dosing Schedule (7-Day Bikini Countdown Kit)
- Days 1 – 6: Three Slim Me capsules, taken with water, first thing in the morning. One Slim Me gel sachet, mixed with water and consumed 20 minutes before meals, three times per day.
- Day 7: Three Clean Me capsules, taken with water, first thing in the morning. One Clean Me drink mix, mixed with water, consumed during the evening.
Ingredient Profile and Potential
Most of the vitamins and minerals in Slim Me are included in similar quantities in Clean Me and that’s okay because their presence should help promote good health.
The Vitamin B complex has added importance because B vitamins help the body extract energy from food.
Vitamin C is also a good ingredient to have because it’s an antioxidant that offers protection from free radicals and boosts immune response.
Chromium is a popular diet pill ingredient that balances insulin and prevents sudden desires for sugary food.
Iodine is a pretty good inclusion as well.
Many people are iodine deficient
This is a deficiency that can result in weight gain because the thyroid gland uses iodine to create the “T” hormones that enable an efficient metabolism and rapid calorie burning.
Green tea could be seen as serving a double role here because it provides antioxidants that battle free radicals and also boosts the metabolism and encourages thermogenic fat burning.
However, the inclusion rate is quite low so, in this case, it probably offers the most potential as a means of purging the body of toxins.
The extracts taken from prunes, broccoli, and artichoke are also good inclusions because they will help purge the liver and other important organs of any toxins that have built up over a period of time.
When such toxins build up it has a detrimental effect on the metabolism, so the idea of adding detox supplements to a weight loss kit is not as crazy as it sounds.
Capsicum extract is also a good ingredient because it’s a proven fat burner and the chlorogenic acid provided by green coffee bean extract has value in this regard as well.
Capsicum is an appetite suppressant too, but its ability to control hunger is unlikely to be needed here because glucomannan is one of the best natural appetite suppressants in the world and numerous studies show that it works.
When swallowed with water, its natural fibers hydrate quickly and expand in the stomach to create a feeling of satiety.
Studies suggest glucomannan works best if it is taken in 1000mg doses, three times per day, before meals. Slim Me Gel provides the correct amount and the dose is spot on, so results should be good.
The only customer reviews we could find are the ones published on the GP Nutrition website.
Needless to say, all of them are good, but product testimonials provided via such a biased source cannot be relied upon for accuracy.
Known Side Effects
No side effects have been reported, but Bikini Me is unsuitable for children who are under 12 years of age and it’s not intended for women who are pregnant.
Nor should it be used by women who are breastfeeding a child. Women who have existing health problems will need to ask their doctor before starting to use this product.
Women who considering using Bikini Me alongside medication will need to ask their doctor as well.
There appears to be a 30-day money back guarantee, but the use of the term “returns policy” on the GP Nutrition website’s terms and conditions page suggests customers who have opened and used the product may have difficulty securing a refund.
Final Summary – Hit or a Miss
Our evaluation of the ingredients provided by the four products included in the Bikini Me weight loss kits suggest the kit should do most of the things its intended to do, but it won’t deliver a flatter belly in three days.
Or seven. Such things require time.
As an appetite suppressant the ability of the Slim Me gel should be first-rate, but women using Bikini Me are unlikely to experience a level of fat burning that is comparable to that of any of the leading weight loss products for women, all of which are a lot cheaper to buy.
Bikini Me is certainly a good product, but the bottom line is it costs far too much to buy and customers are not getting enough in return.
Where to Buy Bikini Me
Bikini Me is available to buy from Harrods and Selfridges. It’s also distributed via a number of classy hotels and fitness centers as well as from selected health food stores and spas.
It is very much targeted towards the UK
However, for most people, the best way to obtain Bikini Me will be to buy it via the manufacturer’s website.
The price appears to be consistent across all sources and, at the time of this review a 3-day supply cost £9.99 and the 7-Day Bikini Countdown Kit was retailing at £19.99.
Customers who buy directly from GP Nutrition are also looking at postage charges on top.
Although we never recommend buying diet products via autoship, we have to point out GP Nutrition is offering this option, and some people may find it attractive because it entails a 15% discount.
However, anyone considering going this route needs to be aware they will be legally bound to continue with their autoship subscription for at least three months.
